Equine
A case study done during the brutal summer of '07 with Dr. Mike Privett in Eastover, SC exceeded all expectations and proved quite effective in keeping his patients cool and healthy. With high temperatures consistently holding around 105 degrees for 14 straight days, stalls reached and held 98 degrees from noon until dusk. The first stall we installed only 3 misting jets and no fans. It read 86 degrees at the hottest part of the day. Not bad, huh? But get this…in the second stall we installed only a single 18" misting fan with 4 misting jets, two more jets than usual. That stall read +/-78 degrees at the hottest part of the day! That is a 20 degree difference! However, the most incredible finding was that the bedding did NOT accumulate any moisture!!
